Phone directory

An online telephone directory for the neighborhood. This would be a place where you would place your home phone and/or cell phone numbers.

Your phone numbers would not be public. You would designate your number(s) as private or semi-private. "Private" means that you would choose which neighbors can view your contact information. "Semi-private" means that it would be listed in a directory that could be viewed by anyone who has a user account.

This functionality would be especially useful for emergencies, e.g., you are away for the weekend and the neighborhood gets hit by another storm that takes a big oak down in your front yard.

My Contractor

This would be a place where you ask for contractor recommendations, e.g., "Does anyone know a good plumber?" Once a recommendation is provided, then that contractor will be added to a directory where they can be rated.

Another feature would be where you could post the service and price you pay/paid, e.g., Lawn service: $35/cut. This last feature would be anonymous, so the person's posting wouldn't be displayed, just the service/cost.

Open House

Did you have a recent addition put on, renovated your kitchen, planted a new garden, or decorated your house for the holidays?

This would be a place to post your photos to show your pride

Recipe Exhange

Have a good recipe or need a good recipe? This would be the place to tell everyone about the new bean dip!
